Common QuestionsDo I need to prepare my skin first?Ideally, we would advise that you use a PRIORI Idebenone home care product for two weeks prior to a peel. Why wouldn’t you want to when Idebenone is the most powerful anti-oxidant available? The range is fantastic as you can mix and match it with your current routine. Missing an SPF? Then add Radical Defence, which offers an excellent sun care product with added Idebenone protection. Add Smooth Lines if your major concern is anti-ageing or Even Tones if excess pigment bothers you.
What does it feel like?The skin may initially tingle as the peel is applied but this is perfectly normal. Due to the power of Idebenone the peel only remains on the skin for a short time.
What will my skin look like after treatment?The skin may experience some minor flaking and dryness which is perfectly normal as the old skin gives way to fresh, young skin. However unlike harsher TCA peels these much milder side effects will diminish within a day or two.
Are there any side effects?Your skin may feel a little dry or tight for a couple of days but we would normally advise you to apply additional moisturiser the first few days after your peel.
How many treatments will I need?An average of six treatments is recommended usually every two weeks. Some people experience significant improvement from only four peels while others may require up to eight. Depending upon your objective we may suggest more or less peels.

Micropeel - microdermabrasion + peel
A Micropeel is a fantastic treatment that combines Microdermabrasion with a skin peel to maximise and accelerate results. First a light microdermabrasion is carried out and any excess crystals removed. A light superficial skin peel is then applied to the skin. A Micropeel will smooth and soften your skin, brighten your complexion, minimise pore size, and reduce uneven pigment. We often suggest a Micropeel to manage acne and acne scars on the back or to improve the appearance of stretchmarks.

Common QuestionsDo I need to prepare my skin first?We would only recommend a Micropeel to a client who has already undergone a microdermabrasion treatment and a skin peel treatment at a prior appointment. Ideally, home use of a professional skin product with AHA and BHA’s is recommended . What will my skin look like after treatment?The skin may experience some minor flaking and dryness which is perfectly normal as the old skin gives way to fresh, young skin. Some skins may appear flushed for a day or two. We can apply some Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up after treatment if desired.

How many treatments will I need?Micropeels are great for thickened, sun damaged skin. You will see the greatest benefit about two weeks after each peel. Typically, we would recommend six treatments usually once every two weeks. Thereafter, you can maintain your results with a home skin care regime and a Micropeel treatment every one to three months.
