Svelte

Cellulite is enemy ‘number one’ for many women.  The revolutionary Svelte treatment is a comfortable deep tissue vacuum massage combined with ultrasound to break down fat deposits and improve blood flow and cellular function.

Svelte is effectively two treatments in one.  Firstly, a vacuum massage technique is applied to the skin with adjustable rollers and controlled suction.  The skin gently folds and unfolds under the motion of the rollers to ‘smooth out’ the skin and lessen the appearance of cellulite.  This massage motion increases the blood circulation to nourish the skin.  At the same time unwanted toxins and fluids are removed.

However, for stubborn cellulite the action of the rollers alone is not enough.  Svelte is unique, as it is the only system to combine vacuum massage with ultrasound therapy.  Ultrasound gently vibrates and heats the fat cell membrane, breaking it down.  The fat cell is then better able to release fat, which is then removed by the body’s natural waste processes.

A course of treatments if often required but the exact number depends on the grade and severity of your cellulite.  We typically recommend a minimum of 10-12 treatments which should be carried out two to three times a week.

This treatment is for you if:

  • You want to target cellulite all over your body
  • You wish to reduce hard, pockets of cellulite
  • You want a treatment that will help exfoliate your skin
  • You have time to visit the clinic twice a week

Common Questions

What does treatment feel like?

The vacuum massage feels like a deep tissue massage.  It may feel a little sensitive in some areas but most people enjoy the treatment.  The ultrasound is slightly warm and a tingling sensation may be experienced.  Some clients comment that they can hear a high pitch noise from the ultrasound.

What should I expect after treatment?

Treatment benefits are progressive and the full effect is seen a month or two after completing a course of treatments.  You can carry on with normal activities immediately afterwards.  Since the lymph system is stimulated by the procedure it is important for you to drink adequate water in order to help ‘flush out’ toxins.

Are there any side effects?

There is a risk of mild bruising to some sensitive areas from the massage.  The skin may also be red where the ultrasound is applied.  There is a possibility of mild burning or even a blister from the ultrasound but the occurrence is infrequent.  Our Clinicians will check the level is adequate and no discomfort is felt in order to minimise any chance of a blister.
